1. Who we are

VORQENA Ltd is a UK-based maker of handcrafted, personalised wooden gifts. We are the data controller for your personal data. Our workshop: 17 Willow Lane, England, United Kingdom.

2. What we collect

• Order information — name, email, delivery address, phone number and payment confirmation.
• Personalisation details — the names, dates and messages you ask us to engrave (treated with the same care as your order).
• Account details — if you create an account: your email and password (securely hashed).
• Technical data — device type, browser, IP address and pages visited, used to keep the site fast and safe.
• Marketing preferences — your choices about our emails.

3. Why we process it

• To fulfil your order and deliver it worldwide (contractual obligation).
• To send you proof-of-engraving approvals and order updates (contractual).
• To comply with tax and accounting law (legal obligation).
• To improve our site and products (legitimate interest).
• To send marketing you have opted into (your consent — withdraw anytime).

4. Sharing

We never sell your data. We share it only with the processors needed to run the business: our payment provider (Stripe / Shopify Payments), couriers and logistics partners, and email/analytics providers. Each processor is bound by contract to use data only to serve you.

5. Payments & security

Payments are processed by PCI-DSS compliant providers. Your card details never touch our servers. All traffic is encrypted with TLS, and access to personal data is limited to the team members who need it.

6. Retention

Order data is kept for the period required by tax law (typically 6 years). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or after 24 months of no engagement. Engraving previews are deleted after your order is complete.

7. Your rights

Under data protection law you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Contact care@vorqena.com and we'll respond within 30 days — usually much faster.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for the shopping cart and region preferences, and optional analytics/marketing cookies only with your consent (via the cookie banner). You can change your preferences at any time.

9. Children

Our site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Baby gift purchases are made by adults.

10. International transfers

Because we ship worldwide, data may be processed in your country or ours. We ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) are in place with every processor.
